Hi!
I'm Ellie Jay - a 20-something newbie book blogger. 
I live in the UK, near a coast and regularly travel to various cities.
I work as a Teaching Assistant in my local school and currently studying for a few different qualifications.

I've always wanted to do a book review blog but I've never had the courage to. I'm still rather cowardly as Ellie Jay is actually an alias! But oh well. I'm sure you all understand.
It's kinda like Cather in "Fangirl" not owning up to being MagiCath... 

This blog is focused around Young Adult literature though I do review other genres on my good reads account! 

I got into reading when my brother left Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone lying around. I dragged myself through the first chapter and was suddenly hooked. From then on I never had my nose out of a book. I'd walk home from school reading, read in the car, read while doing homework/ playing computer games (I'm female - I'm allowed to multi-task!). Heck, I was even known to hide under tables at family parties with a torch and a book. 

When I was younger I was an avid fan of Jacqueline Wilson, Enid Blyton, Malorie Blackman and Meg Cabot. I stuck to the authors I knew but as I grew up I took the risk of trying new authors (which terrified me) and now we'd be here all day if I listed all the authors I read obsessively.
